Do you like Bird Trivia? Here is a list of some amazing facts about birds. Birds are magnificent creations of Mother Nature. Their ability to fly with such grace and speed has fascinated humans since the beginning of time. Birds add beauty and interest to our lives. They inspire poetry and art while helping to maintain the balance of nature in our environment. See how many of these amazing facts about birds you know. At the present time, I don't know the answer to the perplexing question, which came first, the chicken or the egg?

  • There are 109 species of birds that have become extinct.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

The Christian bible says that the chicken came first. God said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven". Genesis 1:19-20. Chickens are a type of fowl. So according to the bible, the chicken came first. National Geographic:

Scientists have an answer for the age old dispute over which came first, the chicken or the egg. They say that reptiles were laying eggs thousands of years before chickens appeared. The first chicken came from an egg laid by a bird that was not quite a chicken. According to scientists, the egg came first.
