RESERVE LISTS & DEPOSITS
Our babies are in high demand, and we breed only a limited number of birds at a time. As such, in the interest of being fair, we have a Reserve List system. Simply put, Babies are First-Come, First-Serve. We cannot hold a baby for any period of time without a deposit.
Your Reserve Deposit covers Baby's DNA sexing, ensures that Baby has a home waiting for them, and reserves the Baby until weaned. Remainder of Baby's fee is due upon pickup.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold babies until weaned. For species with multiple prices, this equates to 50% of the LOWEST price at the time of deposit. Should the baby chosen be of a higher dollar value, the difference will be paid at pick up. Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferable.

About Reserves

I understand that my non-refundable Deposit/Reserve is to ensure that I am serious about wanting a Baby from Clutch Hutch, and not just making a spur of the moment or impulse pet purchase.

I understand that the Clutch Hutch offers a transferable deposit policy, and should I change my mind and want to move my deposit to another clutch, or another species, I am allowed to do so ONCE, and it must be done before my original baby is weaned and ready to go home.

I understand that if I opt to transfer my deposit to another Baby, the balance of Baby must be paid at the time of transfer to claim that Baby as mine, and avoid any potential mathematical or bookkeeping errors.

I understand that a pair not hatching the color, mutation, or gender baby that I want is completely out of the Clutch Hutch's control, and they will allow me to continue waiting for the Baby of my Dreams.

I understand that nature is funny, and just because a pair CAN produce a certain color, gender, or mutation does not mean that they WILL, and the pickier I am, the longer I may have to wait.

I understand that my Reserve Deposit is used to cover my Baby's DNA sexing, where applicable, as well as the feeding and care of my Baby and its parents, ensures that my Baby is disease tested negative for Polyoma and PBFD or it comes from disease tested parents, and helps the Clutch Hutch ensure that this Baby will have a devoted forever home awaiting them.

PAYMENTS/FINANCING
We understand that one's finances might be the only deciding factor in getting a new Baby or not. We think everyone who wants a Baby should get one! For your convenience we offer In-House financing if needed. Please note, a full deposit is needed on a Baby to consider the Baby as reserved. Baby's remainder is due on, or before, the day of pick up. You can start making payments as early as the day you've chosen your Baby, if you'd like! For your convenience, we accept several forms of payment including cash, credit card, debit card, and ApplePay. Checks may be accepted on a case by case basis for deposits ONLY.
Under no circumstances will Baby go Home until they are paid for. We MAY waive a boarding fee if extra time is needed and payments are being made.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE
We reserve the right to refuse anyone, for any reason, should we feel that your Home would not be a suitable fit for one of our Babies. At the Clutch Hutch, our sole concern is the continued care and future life of each and every Baby we raise. Their health and safety ALWAYS come first. We do not need to give a reason. Your deposit will be returned to you and you will be removed from our Reserve Lists if we feel that you are not a suitable home for a Baby of ours.
RIGHT TO WITHOLD BABY
We reserve the right to hold back a baby for breeding or furthering of genetics, if they exhibit qualities we're seeking, or we feel they would be better suited as a breeder, rather than a family companion. In some instances, a Baby is deemed simply too wild to make a great pet, and we would never saddle a family with that responsibility. Just because a Baby is pictured does not mean they are available unless they are listed as available, or UFD (Up For Discussion - per Facebook rules and regulations regarding pet sales.) If a Baby has a special need, please don't take it personally that we will find absolutely the right situation for Baby. Whether that means Baby stays here, or goes to someone with experience dealing with special needs birds.
PRICES and OUR FAIR PRICE PROMISE
Our prices are subject to seasonal changes, as we do our best to keep up with other breeder's rates and adjust accordingly. We do not overprice our babies and promise to keep our prices fair. We spend every hour of our time with these babies and keep detailed logs and records, so you will know everything from who their parents are, to their hatch date, to what they weighed at 5 weeks old! Please keep in mind the sheer amount of time and love that goes into raising each baby. With costs of everything rising, please also keep in mind that what was paid for a bird in 2001 is not what that baby will cost today!
NEGOTIATING
Please do not barter on a baby to "lower their price", and don't ask us to. Babies are not easy to care for, and every moment of our time goes into their care. Our prices are standard, fair, and non-negotiable. If you try to "barter" with us on a Baby's cost, we may just refuse you a Baby, period. Yes, different colors cost different amounts. This is based on how common the color or mutation is in general, and how common it is for us to achieve. Our SOLE exceptions to negotiating are families that already have a Baby of ours and are wanting to add another Baby to their family, a family looking to purchase multiple babies or siblings at one time, or other breeders wanting to trade/purchase birds to expand their bloodlines and genetics.
